If you had a loan for your car, first contact any lienholder who might have a claim to your car. Find out what you need to do to have the

removed.
Use Kelley Blue Book or Edmunds to determine the current value of your car and create a fair listing. Be upfront with potential buyers about the car’s accident history, ongoing maintenance requirements, or defects.
When you find a buyer, make sure to gather the following documents:
You will have ten days after the sale of your car to contact your local DMV. You can do this online. Check out your DMV website or find the link at oregon.gov.
