I want to reset the oil life warning light in my car. After a recent oil change, it still only reads 65%. I’m pretty sure it should say 100%. How can I fix the oil change light on my 2008 Accord?
Turn the key to the accessories position, but make sure not to start the vehicle.
On the instrument cluster, where you see the oil life display, look for the odometer trip button on the right-hand side.
Press this button until you see oil life at the bottom of the display.
Press and hold the button for 10 seconds or until the oil life starts to blink.
Release the button, then immediately press and hold it again for about 5 seconds.
You should see the oil life return to 100%.
