How do you represent yourself in a car accident case?
How can I represent myself in a car accident case? I was in a car accident and was not at fault. However, I was injured and broke my right collarbone. The other driver's insurance company does not think my injury deserves higher compensation.

Car accidents can be frustrating and traumatic, and the claims process can be just as bad! To represent yourself in a
car accident
court case, you’ll need to read up on the following subjects before you get started:- Insurance law
- Tort law
- Legal procedures
Once you’ve learned enough to establish a foundation for your case, you’ll need to start collecting evidence. While it won’t be limited to these categories, you should collect the following information:
- Relevant medical records
- Expert interviews from those involved (like any doctors treating your injuries)
- Witness interviews from the scene
- Police and insurance reports from the accident
Since you have decided you would like to represent yourself, this does not excuse you from not knowing the proper court procedures. If you miss a deadline or present yourself improperly, you may sink your own case before it’s even started.
So even though you can technically represent yourself in court, it may not be the best idea. Having a lawyer to represent you can save you time, money, and even resources in the long run!
