, you can renew your driver’s license online, in person at your local DMV office, or by mail under certain circumstances.
If you’re looking to save time and skip the DMV lines, renewing your license online is your best bet. Here’s how to do it:
  • Visit the Oregon DMV website and click the online renewal button
  • Follow the instructions to complete your license renewal
To renew your license in person, follow these steps:
  • Visit the Oregon DMV website to download and complete the renewal application
  • Collect the required documents: one original and one original proof of Oregon residency
  • Bring your application and documents to your local DMV office
  • Have your picture taken
  • Pay the $40.00 renewal fee
Note: If you’re over 50, you’ll be required to pass a vision exam.
Renewal by mail is only allowed under certain circumstances. Contact your local DMV at 503-945-5000 to check if you’re eligible.
