How do you remove tickets from your driving record in Illinois?

Fortunately, you can file a motion to vacate your conviction within 30 days of your original trial to remove tickets from your driving record in Illinois.Note that doing so does not guarantee a charge will be cleared. But it could be worth a shot if losing your license is the alternative!
The process goes as follows:
- Fill out an Illinois Motion form or hire a lawyer to do so on your behalf
- Send or e-file the completed motion to the circuit court handling your citation
- Pay the designated filing fees to the appropriate court
- If successful, the judge will remove the conviction from your driving record
It’s highly recommended that you hire an attorney to improve the odds of your motion’s success. While this will usually cost a couple hundred dollars, most lawyers know the courts and judges well enough to strengthen your case significantly.
