How do you remove paint from a car's boot, or trunk?
What's the best way to get spilled paint out of my trunk? My British mother-in-law borrowed my car to go to Home Depot. When she returned, she told me a gallon of paint tipped over in the car's boot (or trunk) and the lid came off.

“Start by scooping up as much paint as you can from the car’s boot (aka trunk). After that, you can use soapy water to clean up latex paint or turpentine oil to clean up oil-based paint.
Here’s how:
- Soak a cloth with the water or oil, then dab the paint with the cloth.
- After that, scrub to start removing the paint.
- Rinse and repeat as necessary.
- Finally, let the trunk dry.
