How do you remove double-sided tape from car number plates?
My license plates were put on with double sided-tape. I am mounting them to my car instead, so I need a way to remove the remaining adhesive. What are my options?

“While handy, removing adhesive from your car can be a pain! Thankfully, there is an easy way to remove the sticky tape.
The easiest way is to use adhesive remover. Many auto shops, like AutoZone, carry different types of adhesive remover. Some examples are 3M adhesive remover and Goo Gone.
Follow the directions on the adhesive remover, and be sure to let it stay on for a few minutes for full effect.
Ideally, this should remove the remaining adhesive. If it doesn’t, you can either mount your license plate over the adhesive or take your car to an auto body shop.
