Using the remote start function for the XT6 can be tricky if you don’t already know what to do. Once you know how it’s done, though, it’s effortless! Here’s how the 2020 Cadillac XT6 remote start works:
To start, your key fob must be within 200 feet of the vehicle
Once you’re in range, press the Lock button once and then immediately press and hold the Start button (it’s the one in the center of your fob that looks like an arrow moving in a circle)
Hold that button for a few seconds—then the car will start
The lights will flash to indicate that the remote start has worked. Then, the engine will start up and run for about 10 minutes
You can also adjust certain settings regarding the remote-start function by using the infotainment display inside your car—you can set climate control preferences, decide if the heated seats come on, and a lot more!
