Adding wiper fluid is one of the easiest acts of

car maintenance

you can perform on your own.

To add wiper fluid to your car, all you need to do is follow these easy steps:

Purchase a jug of wiper fluid. This should only cost about $3 and can be purchased at a gas station, department store, or auto shop.

and look for your wiper fluid reservoir. It is usually a bright-colored cap with an icon of a windshield on it.

Use a funnel and pour wiper fluid into this reservoir. Be sure to leave a couple of inches of space between the fluid and the cap.

Replace the cap and close your hood.
