Congratulations on your new snowmobile purchase! To put a snowmobile in your truck bed you’ll need a snowmobile ramp and a few sturdy ratchet straps.
Make sure your ramp is made specifically for your snowmobile’s specifications. Using a ramp made for other vehicles will ruin your snowmobiles skis.
Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to put a snowmobile into your truck bed:
- Use a ratchet strap or chain to secure your ramp to the open truck bed.
- Align your snowmobile carefully with the sections for the track and skis.
- Drive your snowmobile up the ramp. Avoid stopping in the middle of the ramp and drive forward, not reverse.
- Secure your snowmobile with ratchet straps at the front and back of the bed. Your snowmobile might hang off the back slightly, so pay careful attention to tie-downs at the back and use a red flag if needed.
