. Just follow these simple steps: - Locate the three HomeLink buttons in the front of your car—they’re usually near the overhead console or on the rearview mirror.
- Simultaneously press button #1 and button #3 until the HomeLink indicator light turns green and flashes, then release them both
- Hold your regular garage door remote within three inches of the HomeLink buttons.
- Simultaneously press the garage door remote button and Homelink button #1 until the indicator light flashes green, then release the buttons
- Go to the garage door control box (inside your garage) and find the learn button. It’s typically a red or black square button located on the side of the box.
- Press the learn button once, then get back into your car within 30 seconds and press HomeLink button #1. If the garage door opens or closes, you successfully programmed your garage door opener.
