Locate the three HomeLink buttons in the front of your car—they’re usually near the overhead console or on the rearview mirror.
Simultaneously press button #1 and button #3 until the HomeLink indicator light turns green and flashes, then release them both
Hold your regular garage door remote within three inches of the HomeLink buttons.
Simultaneously press the garage door remote button and Homelink button #1 until the indicator light flashes green, then release the buttons
Go to the garage door control box (inside your garage) and find the learn button. It’s typically a red or black square button located on the side of the box.
Press the learn button once, then get back into your car within 30 seconds and press HomeLink button #1.
If the garage door opens or closes, you successfully programmed your garage door opener.
