I’m trying to program the garage door opener on my mom’s Lexus with HomeLink, but I can’t figure it out and don’t have my manual with me. How do you program a Lexus garage door opener?
Locate the three HomeLink buttons either on the rearview mirror or on the front console.
Press buttons 1 and 3 simultaneously until the HomeLink light begins to flash.
Take your garage door remote and hold it close to your HomeLink system.
Press and hold the garage door button and HomeLink button #1 simultaneously until the light turns green and begins to flash. Release both buttons.
Your garage door opener should be programmed.
If you have what’s called a rolling code opener, you’ll need to complete a few more steps.
Check to see if you have a rolling code opener by locating the Learn or Train button on your opener motor. If you don’t see this button, you don’t have a rolling code opener.
If you do see this button, press it once. Once you press the button, you will have 30 seconds to return to your HomeLink system and press button 1.
And voila! Your garage door opener should be programmed for your mom’s Lexus.
If your mom loves her Lexus, she’ll probably be thrilled to hear she could be saving $800+ per year on insurance. With
