When I got my car, the dealership gave me two key fobs. I just tried the second one, and it doesn’t work. Can you tell me how to program a Cadillac XLR key fob?
key fob (note: do NOT turn your car on before starting this process):
Grab both key fobs (the working one and the faulty one)
At the rear of the car, insert your key into the cylinder located on the lower rear fascia on the driver’s side
Pop the trunk, then turn the key a total of five times
Your car’s information center will display READY FOR FOB #X (in this case, “X” is your unrecognized key fob)
Place the unrecognized fob in the glove box transmitter pocket with the buttons facing to the right. The transmitter pocket is small, so you may need to feel around inside the glove box to find it.
When you hear a beeping sound, press the ACC button
Your fob should work perfectly after following these steps!
