The battery on the remote for my garage door opener died, and instead of replacing it I thought I would just program my 2020 Dodge Ram 2500 to open the garage door. How do you program a garage door opener for a 2020 Ram?

Dodge Ram 2500
garage door opener, and you can get it done in just a few minutes. Here’s how:
- Turn your key to the “On/Run” position without starting the engine.
- Grab your hand-held transmitter and put it 1-3 inches from your HomeLink button.
- Hold down the HomeLink button you want to program and the button on your garage door transmitter at the same time.
- The HomeLink indicator light should start to blink slowly, then speed up. When the light flashes rapidly, you can let go of the buttons.
- Find the “Learn” or “Train” button on your garage door motor and press it firmly.
- Push the programmed HomeLink button and hold for two seconds and release. Repeat.
- The garage door motor should operate if the HomeLink button was paired correctly. If it doesn’t operate, hold the HomeLink button down for another two seconds and release.
