The rubber seals prevent noise and moisture from entering the interior of the car. However, weather can wreak havoc on them. Whether it’s because of freezing
or heat from the sun, the seals can become hard and brittle.
To preserve the rubber seals around the edge of your door, follow these steps:
Spray an all-purpose cleaner on the rubber seals
Use a paintbrush or detailing brush to remove dirt from the rubber
Wipe clean
Get a bottle of rubber conditioner/protectant
Put this on the door seals and let dry
Doing these steps should remove the dirt and grime that can cause the rubber to deteriorate while the protectant adds another layer of protection.
