How do you pass your motorcycle driving test?

I’ve been saving for years to get my dream motorcycle, and I’m finally ready to buy it! But I want to make sure I have everything in order first, including my license. I’m not sure what the process is for getting a motorcycle license, though. What should I know about passing my motorcycle driving test?

Wow, congratulations on hitting such a big goal! Don’t worry—preparing for your motorcycle driving test is usually pretty straightforward.
To pass your motorcycle driving test, requirements might vary slightly depending on the state where you live. Most states will have you navigate on a closed track to ensure you understand the basics, such as:
  • Accelerating
  • Braking
  • Turning
  • Signaling
  • Stabilizing your bike
Generally, you’ll need to pass both a written test and a driving test to get your motorcycle endorsement. Most states have a manual for motorcycle operators that’s separate from the normal driver’s license manual. You’ll need to study this carefully before you can pass the written portion of the test.
If you’ve never had a regular driver’s license, you’ll need to pass the written portion of that exam, as well.
Once you pass the written test, you can take your motorcycle driving test. Of course, to pass this part of the test, you’ll need experience riding a motorcycle. If you’ve never had a chance to ride, it might be a good idea to sign up for a motorcycle training course.
Courses are a lot like driver’s ed—you’ll undergo a combination of classroom learning and hands-on riding in a safe environment. One big bonus? These classes can often help you save on your
