How do you open the trunk from inside a Honda Accord?

How do I open the trunk in my Honda Accord from the inside? I just bought it and I can’t figure out how to get the trunk open. I think I need to do it inside the car.

Congratulations on the new car! While it’s great to get a new car, it can come with a bit of a learning curve. Thankfully, opening your trunk from inside your
Honda Accord
is simple.
To start, look in the driver’s side storage area. You should see a trunk release button labeled with a car and an open trunk. When you press this button, your trunk should open.
You can also use the trunk release button on your key fob from inside your car; just point the key fob towards your trunk and press the button.
If that doesn’t work, your car might have an electrical issue. If you need to open the trunk, you can use the emergency trunk release located behind the rear driver side seat on the decklid. To do this:
  • Remove the key from your key fob.
  • Use the key’s tip to pry up the square plastic cover.
  • Insert the key and rotate clockwise to open your trunk.
Otherwise, you can always take your car back to the dealership or Honda service center for assistance!
