How do you open the gas the on a 2006 Cadillac SRX?
I have my mom’s 2006 Cadillac SRX for the week while they’re away, and the fuel tank is running low, but I’m not sure how to refill it. How do I open the gas tank door?

Cadillac SRX
, press on the rear edge of the fuel door, and it will pop open. Turn the fuel cap counterclockwise to remove it. The fuel cap has a spring; if released too soon, it will spring back to the right. When filling your tank with gas, hang the tethered fuel cap from the hook on the fuel door.
Be careful not to spill fuel on the car or outside the tank—after you’ve finished pumping, wait a few seconds to remove the nozzle. It’s recommended to avoid topping off or overfilling the tank. If you spill fuel on the vehicle’s paint, clean it off as soon as possible.
Once you’re done at the pump, place the fuel cap back in and turn it clockwise until you hear it click. Make sure the cap is fully installed. If the fuel cap has not been put back correctly, you will see a
check gas cap light
on your Driver Information Center (DIC) display.View full answer
