How do you open the gas tank on a Nissan Altima 2020?

Where is the gas tank lever for a 2020 Nissan Altima? I want to fill up my girlfriend’s tank for her, but I cannot figure out how to open the door to the gas tank.

Good on you for wanting to help out your girlfriend! To open the gas tank on a 2020

, you’ll need to locate the fuel door release lever, which can be found to the left of the steering wheel next to the hood release lever. Pull on the fuel door release lever to pop the exterior fuel door open.

Once the fuel door is open, you can reach in and unscrew the gas cap to access the gas tank. This will allow you to fill up your girlfriend’s tank for her.

If the fuel door won’t open when you pull the lever, it’s possible that there’s something wrong with the spring mechanism that causes the fuel door to pop open. In this case, it’s best to check in with a mechanic as soon as possible, as you might need to tow your car if you can’t open the gas tank to fill up!
