How do you open the gas tank on a Chrysler 300 2019?
I’m renting a 2019 Chrysler 300 for the week, and it’s time to fill it up…except I can’t figure out how to open the gas tank. Is there a hidden button or lever I’m missing?

It seems like every make and model has a different method of opening the gas tank, so it can be difficult to keep them all straight! To open the gas tank on a Chrysler 300 2019 model, just push the gas tank release button located on the driver’s side door. It’s not up next to the door lock buttons, though—it’s at the back of the “map pocket” section of the door.
For the 2019 model, the Chrysler 300’s fuel tank capacity comes out to 18.5 gallons. With a full tank of gas, you can get anywhere from 351 to 555 miles of range depending on your drivetrain and where you’re driving. The standard 300 gets an EPA-estimated 23 combined mpg (19 city mpg/30 highway mpg), but that’s not a guarantee. To get the best fuel economy, consider adding these driving habits:
- Go easy on your engine. Avoid harsh acceleration or sudden braking.
- Try not to let your Chrysler idle, as it burns extra gas unnecessarily.
