How do you open the gas tank on a Buick Encore 2020?
I’m driving my dad’s Buick Encore 2020 this week and I want to refill the gas tank before I give it back. The only problem is, I can’t figure out how to get the tank open! Where is the fuel lever?

To open the gas tank on a
Buick Encore
2020, simply press inward on the fuel door. This should cause the latch to release and the fuel door to pop open, revealing the gas cap underneath. From there, simply unscrew the gas cap to refuel your vehicle.This is a little counterintuitive if you’re used to the fuel release lever being inside of your vehicle, but it’s actually a pretty common gas tank security method for newer vehicles. It should be noted that this vehicle’s fuel door locks when you lock your car, so potential thieves or saboteurs won’t be able to access your gas tank without first unlocking your vehicle.
If you have any further trouble opening your dad’s vehicle’s fuel tank, it’s possible that this Buick is experiencing some electrical issues and the locking mechanism isn’t functioning properly.
