How do you open the gas tank on a 2020 Ram 1500?

I’ve always wanted a pickup truck and I just bought my first one—a 2020 Ram 1500! I love it, but can’t seem to find the button to open my fuel door. How do you open the gas tank on a 2020 Ram 1500?

The reason you can’t find a fuel button on your 2020

is because it doesn’t have one! Instead of opening the gas tank from inside your truck, you’ll need to exit the vehicle when you get to the gas pump and gently push in on your fuel door from the outside.

Once it pops open, you can unscrew the gas cap and refill your truck with either regular or mid-grade gasoline—the two types of fuel recommended by Ram. Don’t forget to screw your truck’s gas cap back on and push your fuel door closed again before you drive off!
