How do you open the gas tank on a 2018 Ford Escape?
I just upgraded from a 2015 Ford Escape to a 2018 model, but I’m having trouble adjusting. Specifically, I can’t figure out where the lever is inside the car to open the gas tank! How do you open the tank on a 2018 Escape?

To open the gas tank on a 2018
Ford Escape
, you must press down on the fuel-filler door. Applying a light amount of pressure to the fuel-filler door should be enough to spring it open—but if that doesn’t work, you can always insert your finger into the notch on the right-hand side of the fuel-filler door to pull it open manually.Unlike earlier versions of the Escape—which required pulling an interior lever to pop open the fuel-filler door—newer models, including the 2018 Escape, have been redesigned for easier refueling. A spring-loaded fuel-filler door allows drivers to conveniently open and close the gas tank before and after fueling without the added work of uncovering an interior latch.
