I’m on vacation and I’ve rented a 2017 Hyundai Elantra for the week, but my fuel tank is getting low and I need to fill up on gas soon. Problem is, I’m not sure how to open the gas tank. Any idea how to open the gas tank on a 2017 Hyundai Elantra?

gas tank before. Thankfully, it’s pretty easy to open once you get the hang of it. Here’s how to open the gas tank on a 2017 Hyundai Elantra: - Step one: Ensure your car is unlocked before opening the fuel door.
- Step two: Find the fuel door on the driver’s side of the car, near the rear bumper.
- Step three: Push the outer-center edge of the fuel door like it’s a button to allow the fuel door to pop open.
- Step four: Unscrew the gas cap behind the fuel door to access the gas tank.
And that’s it! You’ve successfully opened the vehicle’s gas tank and can begin fueling up. Remember to screw the gas cap back on and close the fuel door before hitting the road again.
