How do you open an Audi A4 key fob?
This may sound stupid, but I’m sitting here at my kitchen table staring at my key fob. It needs a new battery, but I can’t figure out how to open it up! How do you open an Audi A4 key fob?

Step 1 | On the bottom of the fob, squeeze the two black buttons on either side of the chrome key ring and pull to release the emergency key. |
Step 2 | Press on the two black buttons again and hold them. |
Step 3 | Take the tip of the key you just removed—or a tiny flathead screwdriver—and use the tip to gently push the battery tray out. Do this while pressing on the two black buttons to release the tray. |
Step 4 | Remove the old battery. |
Step 5 | Replace with new battery, + side down; battery # CR2032. |
Step 6 | Slide the battery tray back in, with the writing side facing up. Listen for a click. |
Step 7 | Replace the emergency key. |
