do have a unique design where the battery is in the trunk instead of the engine compartment. If the battery dies, it’s much more difficult to open the trunk since it has an electronic release. You’ll need to pull the emergency lever to open the trunk.

First, fold down the back seat to gain access to the trunk. You may need to get a slim jim or clothes hanger to reach the lever if it is out of your reach. Pull the lever, and the trunk will open.
