How do you open a Ford Escape key fob?
My friend let me borrow her Ford Escape for the weekend, but her key fob died and I can’t get back into the vehicle. Is there a way to open up the key fob and change the battery?

key fob is simple, and you can also easily replace the battery. Here’s what to do:- Flip the key fob over and find the small silver button – push this to release a small metal key
- Insert the key into the keyhole and gently turn until the key fob splits apart
At this point, you can see what kind of replacement battery you need. Once you have a new battery, simply install it into the key fob, push the two pieces back together, and replace the small metal key.
