How do you open a car bonnet, or hood?
How do I open my car's bonnet? I just moved to California from Australia and bought my first car. I'm having trouble doing even the most basic things.

“Opening your car’s hood (or bonnet) is as simple as finding the release lever. This is usually located under the dashboard on the driver’s side of the vehicle and labeled with an open hood symbol.
Pull the release lever to pop the hood, then step outside the car. At this point, the hood should be slightly ajar. Feel around under it for a latch, which is likely toward the front and center. Push the latch either left or right to raise the hood open all the way.
