I pulled the release lever on my 2021 BMW 330i and went to look for the safety latch, but I couldn't find it. How do you open a BMW 330i hood?

Newer BMW models have a different release lever for their hoods. Pulling the release lever once pops the

hood up by a few inches. Pull it a second time to unlatch the hood and open it. Your release lever should say “x2” on it to indicate this feature.
