How do you open a 2017 Kia Sportage gas tank?
I’m new to the 2017 Kia Sportage and I can’t seem to open the fuel door. I’ve looked everywhere for the lever in the floor and tried pushing on the door to the gas tank, but haven’t managed to unlock it. What’s the right way to open the gas tank on a 2017 Sportage?

gas tank, all you need to do is press the top edge of the fuel door and let it click open. However, there’s a catch—the doors on your Kia must be unlocked before the fuel door will open.If your car doors are locked, your fuel door will also remain locked even if you press on the correct area. This is a security feature to keep your gas tank protected—if your car doors are locked, you’re likely away from the vehicle, and someone could be trying to steal your precious gasoline—at least, that’s what your Kia thinks!
As long as your car doors are unlocked, you should be able to simply press the edge of the fuel door and open it after the lock mechanism has disengaged. You’ll have to unscrew the gas cap, but after that, you can fill up your Kia with no problem!
