If you can’t find any information that way, you could look through your phone to see if you downloaded the insurance company’s app. If you did, you should be able to log in to find your prior insurance information.
Beyond those options, you can reach out to your state’s DMV or secretary of state to see if they can search for your prior insurance information. Many states’ DMV websites allow you to search for insurance information online, as well.
If that doesn’t work, most car insurance companies pull reports that detail your prior insurance information. But if your new car insurance company is asking for your prior insurance information, they may not have been able to find it in their reporting. Either way, you’ll still be able to move forward with your new policy, but you may not receive any prior insurance discounts you were benefiting from.
