How do you lay down the back seat in a Honda Civic?

I’m going on a ski trip with my daughter, but we don’t have room for the skis. I’ve heard you can lower the back seats in a Honda, but I don’t know how. What’s the process for laying down the back seat in a Honda Civic?

Honda Civic’s are great cars for
winter driving
! Plus, they come with plenty of storage space, thanks to their foldable back seats. Follow these steps to lay down the back seats in your Honda Civic:
  • Start by locating the keyhole on top of the rear shelf behind your back row of seats.
  • Put your master key in the lock and turn it to release the seats.
  • To lay down the passenger’s side seats—turn the key counterclockwise and pull down the top of the seat.
  • To lay down the driver’s side seat—turn the key clockwise in the lock and pull down the top of the seat.
  • To return them to their original positions, simply lift them back into place until you hear a click.
Hopefully, these steps will help you lay down the seats in your Honda Civic! If you’re still having trouble folding them, check your owner’s manual for further instructions.
