It’s hard to know what to buy when there are so many options! Rest assured, there are ways to feel confident buying a new car battery to replace your

.Check your old battery for the group size or minimum cold cranking amps (CCA), both of which should be on a label on the top or side of the case. The group size is typically between 41 and 78 and sometimes has a letter. The minimum CCA rating will be a number followed by CCA.
If you can’t find these numbers on your battery, you can also check the specifications section of your owner’s manual for the group size or minimum CCA rating. You will want to buy a new battery with the same metrics as your current one.
Once you know the metrics, you can search top-ranking battery brands based on your vehicle’s needs. Some batteries specialize in lasting through harsh winters, others are designed for hybrid vehicles. You can talk with your dealership to help you decide between brands.
