How do you keep your phone unlocked while driving?
I have a Google Pixel phone that automatically locks when I’m driving. This is annoying because I use the phone for apps that help me get to locations, send hands-free texts, and listen to music. How do I keep my phone unlocked while I’m driving?

, unlocking your Google Pixel is A-OK.To keep your phone unlocked while driving, follow these steps:
- Make sure you have a screen lock or set it up if you don’t.
- Open the Pixel’s settings by swiping down from the top of your screen and selecting Settings.
- Press Security, then Advanced Settings, then Smart Lock.
- Enter either your pattern, PIN, or password.
- Pick the option to turn off screen lock and follow the steps.
If this doesn’t work and you need to turn off Smart Lock, follow these steps:
- Open the Pixel’s settings.
- Press Security, then Advanced Settings, then Smart Lock.
- Enter your password, pattern, or PIN.
- Press On-body Detection.
- Turn off On-body Detection.
Remember that using your phone can lead to distracted driving, so keep it locked away in the glove box or center console to minimize usage when possible.
