How do you jack up a Nissan Leaf?
This is going to sound a little silly, but I’ve never used a car jack or jack stands before. Is it easy to jack up a Nissan Leaf? And if so, how can I do it?

Jacking up a Nissan Leaf isn’t very difficult, but you’ll need to have a jack stand and a
car jack
, as you mentioned. The most important thing is handling the jack safely
when it comes to lifting something as heavy as a car off the ground. You could be easily crushed if you don’t follow the steps correctly, so be careful! You’ll want to start by finding a solid place to mount your car jack, meaning that the jack point—what touches and lifts the car up—needs to be resting against the frame of the car, not anything plastic or any part of the tires. Depending on where you’re working on the car, you’ll want to position the car jack near this area. If you’re working underneath the engine, place the car jack in the front center of the car. Working on either side means centering the car jack somewhere on the frame between the front and rear doors.
After you’ve locked the car jack into place (twisting the handle clockwise) you’ll want to take your
jack stand
and position them on either side of the car jack. These are safety measures, so if your car jack somehow comes loose, the car is still supported on the stands. These jack stands have locks, usually with a lever on the side to release them. Do not release these locks until you are out from underneath the vehicle.
