How do you get your driving privileges back on base?
Recently, I’ve had some bad luck on the roads when it comes to traffic tickets. Some were my fault, some were out of my control. Regardless, my license was suspended. Is there a way to get my driving privileges back?

That sounds like a really frustrating situation! Unfortunately, the rules regarding license suspensions vary based on circumstances and location. The honest answer is that you may need to wait it out—but there may be some options to get you back behind the wheel a little sooner.
Every state has its own rules when it comes to how traffic violations impact your driving privileges. Many states operate on a demerit point scale - license suspensions can be the result of accumulating too many points.
But the good news is that many states offer fast-track solutions to get your driving record back to base. Many demerit systems will reduce your points if you take a defensive driving course.
