How do you get water stains out of cloth car seats?
We went to the beach recently. Everything we brought back with us got covered in saltwater. Since we put everything in the backseat, I’ve got saltwater stains on my cloth seats. How can I get rid of it?

“I hope you had fun at the beach despite the stains. Don’t worry, though! Saltwater stains aren’t too hard to get rid of.
With saltwater specifically, you’re going to want to clean up any crumbs or dirt or salt with a vacuum. You’ll also need the following supplies:
- Warm water
- Gloves
- Clean, dry towel
- A spray bottle
- Distilled white vinegar
To start, use warm water to wet all the stains and then dry them using your towel. Repeat this until there is no white or salt residue.
From there, spray the spot with an equal amount of water and distilled white vinegar in your spray bottle. Let that sit for a half-hour. Then, come back and blot at the spot with a clean, dry towel.
If this process doesn’t remove the stains, consider taking your car to a professional detailer. They have professional products that can remove stains quickly and effectively.
