“Scratches in your window tint can destroy the mystery window tinting provides! Luckily, you may be able to fix scratches in your window tint on your own.
You’ll need to obtain a razor blade, new window tint, and follow these steps:
Cut around the scratch with a razor blade to sever the layers of tint film from the glass.
Douse the section with water, then wipe the excess with a towel.
Use a razor to pull the damaged tint section away from the glass.
Remove the glue from the window.
Cut a section of matching tint to replace the damaged section.
Paste on the new section of tint matching the seams of the removed section.
You’ll want to repeat this procedure for each damaged section. Ideally, your Yukon’s windows should look good as new. If that doesn’t work, you may want to consider getting a quote from an auto body shop specializing in window tinting.
