Saving some money by fixing the third brake light of your
Hummer H3
at home is a great idea! The good news is that fixing the brake light is easy and only requires a screwdriver and replacement light.To fix an H3’s third brake light, you should:
- Turn off the car and open the trunk
- Remove the rear panel covering the jack and set the jack aside
- Remove the interior panel surrounding the rear windshield using a screwdriver or plastic pry tool to loosen the plastic fasteners
- Locate the light housing and the third brake light bulb. It will be at the top middle of the trunk
- Disconnect the old brake light
- Install the new brake light and ensure it’s working correctly
- Replace the panels and jack to secure the light
