If your USB charging port in your car randomly stops working, there are a few things you can try to fix it.
Check for dirt or other debris. Since USB ports are open, buildups of dirt and dust are common. If the port is dirty, gently clean it with a toothpick and try the connection again.
Plug a device into the port and gently move from side to side. If you get a brief connection at any point, it could be a wiring issue.
If cleaning out your ports doesn’t work, there may be an internal wiring issue. In that case, you’ll want to take your vehicle to a repair shop and have them fix the connection to get your charging port working again.
