I let my dad, who’s six foot seven, borrow my truck the other day to move some furniture, and now I can’t move my seat back to its usual position. Is there an easy way to fix a car seat slider?

It was nice of you to let your dad borrow your truck, and fortunately, there are a few ways to fix a car seat slider.
To fix a car seat that’s stuck, you can:
Remove the seat to get a better look and access to what may be causing the problem. Typically, the seat is just out of alignment, and reinstalling it properly will solve the issue.
Give the seat a firm shake. Jostling the seat with some force should knock the seat back into alignment and solve the problem.
Apply lubricant to the tracks. Applying lubricant and letting it work itself into the sliding mechanism should dislodge the stuck seat.
If none of the above methods worked, you should visit the dealership or a mechanic and ask them to take a look. Most dealerships and mechanics have dealt with this problem countless times and should be able to provide a quick fix or repair the damaged parts.
