Ford Explorer
from 2012, make sure your phone is compatible with Ford’s SYNC system and follow these steps:- Enable Bluetooth on your phone to allow SYNC to detect it.
- Select the Phone button on your Explorer’s SYNC screen to display the phone menu.
- The system may require you to press okay to enter the menu.
- An Add a Device option will pop up on your screen. Press OK to confirm.
- Follow the prompt by pressing OK.
- “Search for SYNC on your device and enter the PIN provided by SYNC” will appear. Press OK to confirm. A 6-digit PIN will stay on the SYNC screen for 3 minutes.
- Enter the PIN into your phone. A confirmation message will let you know when the phone is connected.
- Close the message and press OK to exit the menu.
Your phone is now connected through Bluetooth!
