How do you connect Bluetooth to a Ford Expedition from 2012?
My dad just got an older Ford Expedition model, and I’m trying to help him set up some of the tech features. I’m a little clueless when it comes to the hands-free stuff, though. How do you connect Bluetooth to a 2012 Ford Expedition?

Connecting hands-free tech can get confusing—especially on older cars! Here’s how you can connect Bluetooth to a 2012 Ford Expedition:
- Make sure Bluetooth is activated on your mobile device
- Press the “Phone” button, then hit “Settings” and “Add” on the touchscreen
- Your touchscreen will display a PIN and your SYNC system will prompt you to pair your device
- Go to your device and select “SYNC” in available devices
- Put in the PIN displayed on your Expedition’s screen and press “Pair”
- Your SYNC system will confirm that your device paired
That’s all there is to it! Now that you’ve connected your device, you are free to make wireless calls via voice commands or by using the “Phone” button on your console or steering wheel. Devices will automatically pair in the priority in which they are entered on your SYNC screen, and up to five of them can connect to Bluetooth simultaneously.
As you and your dad get situated with all the new tech the Expedition has to offer, just make sure that it doesn’t distract anyone on the road. Even hands-free tech can get you in trouble with a
