It depends on the model year. Bluetooth was first made available on the 2011
Chevy Malibu
so you’ll need to install an
aftermarket adapter
to enable Bluetooth in models older than that. Otherwise, you just have to pair your phone to connect Bluetooth on a Chevy Malibu. Here’s how:
  • Activate Bluetooth on your mobile phone
  • On your vehicle’s touchscreen select the phone icon
  • Click Add Phone, Pair Device or Connect Phone
  • Select your Chevrolet vehicle from the list of options on your phone
  • Confirm the PIN displayed on your phone matches the code displayed on the touchscreen
  • Press the Pair button on your vehicle’s touchscreen
That’s it! After completing these steps you should be connected to your Chevy Malibu Bluetooth. If that’s not the case, you may need to visit your local Chevy dealership to inspect your audio system.
