All you need to check your Audi’s tire pressure is a simple tire pressure gauge, which you can purchase at any auto supply shop. Most modern cars have tire pressure monitoring systems that will alert you when a tire’s pressure is too low, but it never hurts to double-check manually.
If the warning light displays on your dashboard, you’ll need to check your tire pressure and make adjustments as needed. Don’t worry—a change in tire pressure doesn’t always mean a damaged tire. Sometimes, a sudden change in temperature can cause your tires to lose or gain air pressure.
Check your owner’s manual, door jamb sticker, and/or the inside of your fuel tank cover for the exact tire pressure that each of your tires should have.
Then, simply remove the valve cap of your tire and press the tire pressure gauge down and over the valve stem. You’ll hear a hissing sound, and your pressure gauge will display a reading.
As a rule of thumb, you should check your tire pressure regularly to ensure that your vehicle is safe to drive.
