First, make sure that your engine is warm and that you have driven for at least six miles.
Put your car in park.
Select Vehicle Info on your display.
Select Vehicle Status.
Select Engine Oil Level.
Once you do this, you might see a number of different messages, such as:
Engine oil level OK: This indicates that your oil is at a good level.
Engine oil level below minimum. Add 1 quart!: If you see this, you should add oil within the next 125 miles of driving.
Engine oil level too high! Have this checked: As you might imagine, this means that your engine oil level is too high. Overfilling your engine oil can be very dangerous, so you should take your car to a mechanic right away.
Measurement inactive. Have this checked: This means that your sensor is malfunctioning or unable to gauge the oil level in your engine. In this case, it’s a good idea to visit a professional to get the problem fixed.
