How do you check car tire pressure?
How can I check my car’s tire pressure to make sure that I’m not overfilling my tires? My car tires tend to go a little flat in the winter, and I just want to make sure that I’m not putting too much air in them or anything.

Filling your tires with air is an easy job, with some tricky components. It’s especially easy to overfill them
in the winter
! Luckily, you can follow these steps to check your car’s tire pressure:- First, get your hands on a tire gauge. You can find these at most auto parts stores.
- Remove the cap from the air valve on your tire and press the tire gauge into the stem valve for one to two seconds.
- The tire gauge should give you a number that you can compare with the recommended tire pressure for your vehicle.
- Be sure to replace the cap once you’re done!
If you’re moving from low-temperature to high-temperature areas, try keeping a slightly lower tire pressure. Since the air expands in hot environments, a full tire might overfill once you move out of the cold!
