How do you change the cabin air filter in a Honda Accord?
My cabin air ducts have been making a weird whistling noise, and their airflow has been weak as well. The filter is in need of replacing, I think, but how can I change the cabin air filter in a Honda Accord?
You’ll just need a flat head screwdriver and a pair of new cabin air filters. Then follow these steps:
Remove everything from the glove box
Remove each black clip located in the back of the glove box—do this either by squeezing the sides and pushing, or prying them out using the screwdriver
Remove the glove box
Pull the left-side tab to remove the cabin air filter cover. The cover is just next to some multicolored cables and should pop out pretty easily
Slide the air filters and their frames out—these can be pretty dirty so try not to touch the air filter itself!
Place the new filters into each frame, starting with the right-hand side
Put the air cabin filter back into place, again starting with the right-hand side of the filter
Re-install the glove box, clipping everything back into place. Test to make sure it opens and closes properly
And you’re finished! It’s not the most difficult car
