How do you change the BMW wiper blade inserts?
How do I change my BMW’s wiper blade inserts? I’ve never done it before, and my wipers are ragged and I would love to change them.

It’s great that you’re teaching yourself how to do car repairs at home! To change your
BMW’s
wiper blade inserts, you’ll just need to follow these steps:- To prepare your wipers, turn them on and stop them halfway across your windshield. Then lift them directly away from the windshield. If you’d like, you can also place a piece of cardboard on your windshield to protect the glass.
- Now you’ll need to take out the old wiper blade inserts. Start by rotating the blades until they face upward.
- Find the end of the wiper blade where the end of the insert is held on by a small metal tab. Using needlenose pliers, carefully pinch the tab as you slide out the refill.
- At the same end of your wiper blade, carefully slide in the new insert. Make sure that the metal clip clicks back into place as you slide in the blade.
- When you’re done, replace your wipers on your windshield and test them out by turning them on a low speed.
Congratulations, you’ve just replaced your wiper blade inserts!
