How do you change the air filter in a 2013 Honda Civic?
What do I do to change the engine air filter in my 2013 Honda Civic? I heard you’re supposed to change it around every 30,000 miles and I want to make sure I do it right.

- Once the hood is open, you should see a metal rod (called an anchor) laying along the ledge in front of the radiator. Use this to prop the hood open.
- Next you’ll need to locate your air filter, which can be found in a black plastic box just to the right of the valve cover.
- To open the box, pull the four clips on the sides away from the box and lift the cover.
- Once you’ve done this, you’ll just need to remove the old air filter and replace it with a clean one.
- Finally, make sure to place the cover back on the box and secure it with the four clips. Just like that, you’ve replaced the air filter on your Civic!
